Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 27, 2025

Welcome to Wild Acacia Collective. By accessing or using our website, booking inquiries, tours, content, or services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please review them carefully to understand your rights, responsibilities, and the policies that guide our operations.

1. Who We Are

Wild Acacia Collective (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates as a Canadian-based travel and creative brand offering curated South Africa–focused safari experiences, wildlife storytelling, educational content, and related services.

All tours are operated in partnership with accredited South African guides, lodges, and transport providers.

2. Eligibility

By using this website or submitting a booking inquiry, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, OR

  • You are a guardian/parent completing a booking on behalf of a minor.

We may request proof of age or identity if needed.

3. Booking Process

Wild Acacia Collective currently operates on a waitlist and inquiry basis. A spot is not confirmed until:

  1. You receive an official confirmation email,

  2. A deposit or full payment is received, and

  3. You agree to all tour-specific policies (sent before payment).

Prices, itineraries, activities, and availability may change due to seasonal factors, supplier adjustments, or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Payments & Refunds

All payment terms—including deposit amounts, due dates, cancellation deadlines, and refund eligibility—will be clearly outlined in your tour information package.

Key points:

  • Deposits are generally non-refundable, unless stated otherwise.

  • Full payment must be completed by the deadline specified.

  • Refunds (where applicable) may be subject to processing fees or supplier policies.

  • Currency conversions and international bank fees are the responsibility of the guest.

5. Changes to Itineraries

Africa is wild and unpredictable (we love her for it). We reserve the right to adjust itineraries for reasons such as:

  • Weather

  • Wildlife behavior

  • Lodge or supplier changes

  • Road closures or safety concerns

  • Guide availability

Where possible, any changes will be equivalent or upgraded—not downgraded.

6. Travel Requirements

All participants are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • A valid passport

  • Required visas

  • Travel insurance (strongly recommended)

  • Any vaccinations or health documentation required by South Africa or transit countries

We are not responsible for denied entry, missed flights, or personal documentation issues.

7. Assumption of Risk

Wildlife encounters, bush walks, game drives, and general travel in South Africa involve inherent risks.
By participating in our tours, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

We require all guests to follow guide instructions, safety protocols, and lodge rules at all times.

We are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from:

  • Wildlife interactions

  • Failure to follow safety briefings

  • Accidents caused by third-party operators

  • Personal negligence

  • Unforeseen natural events

8. Personal Belongings

We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to luggage, electronics, or valuables during travel. Safes are provided in most accommodations—please use them.
